This winter has had snow on the ground since December 1, 2010. We're all used to the cold and snowy vista. My favorite thing is that I get to spend more time inside the barn with the alpacas. As long as I walk nice and slow, I go through them and they just step aside. No one is hassled by my presence, we've all agreed to make it through these tought days together.
Goldie Fawn is now four months old and I can rub and touch her everywhere. She's so curious, she comes right up to visitors and sniffs them from head to toe. It's very charming, everyone who meets her falls in love.

And my new best find is YakTrax. Did you know they make chains for your boots? They're so fantastic, the traction they provide is amazing. I don't worry about the ice any more, I've got permanent 4 wheel drive on my feet!
Snow, wind, cold weather, none of it matters. When you love what you do, it's just another glorious day.
